The much anticipated political drama series ‘Designated Survivor’ is back for another season which is a ten episode originally created by David Guggenheim starring Kiefer Sutherland.
It was aired on ABC before it was canceled after two seasons and that is when Netflix Picked it and renewed it for the third season.
Tom Kirkman (Kieffer Sutherland) decides to run for another term as an independent party and the challenges he faces is that the response he gets from the Senate and the citizens of the United States of America.
In the last season a bunch of things which did not make sense like the death of Kirkman’s wife, Alex(Natascha McElhone)a loss that staggered him and led many inside the administration as well as outside it to question whether or not he had the mental stability to be president.
Kirkman’s administration became the first in the history of politics to know about the usefulness of social media(hashtags)making him know about a demonstration going on in the state he had gone to campaign and he went where the demonstration was taking place and talked to the demonstrators and bonded with them which was a huge step for him because he made Lorraine Zimmer be his campaign manager.
The new characters come with new storylines and while they are not all winners there’s energy in them rarely found elsewhere.
The third season is an improvement over the two that preceded it.
