Jamaican Reggae Artist KONSHENS Set to Rock Kenyan Stage in September

Garfield Spence popularly known as Konshens, let his Kenyan fans know that he is coming back for the September edition of The Hype Festival,adding that he is mind blown by the overwhelming support he gets from here.

In May, Konshens who is well known for his high energy performances teased that he might be coming to back to Nairobi after shouting out his Kenyan fans for all their love and support they show him online.

Konshen’s announcement on Twitter after he has been trending with many netizens asking him to officially say when he will be returning to the country. Dancehall lovers also went ahead to tell him that they were ready for the concert. The ‘Bruk Off Yuh Back’ hit maker says that Kenya is now his family and he sent his love and respect to his fans.

Konshens who has been to Kenya a couple of times in the past jumped on the latest Kenyan banger ‘Figa’ by Gengetone hitmakers Ethic to deliver the perfect dancehall remix to it. The song got the interwebs talking and is receiving airplay all across Kenya.Ethic fans are looking forward to see the Kenyan music group perform the remix to Figa which features Konshens.

According to the Hype Fest Twitter account, tickets for the September 7nd concert are out and other acts will include, Ethic, Gwaash, Ochungulo family, Chris Kaiga, Sailors, Sol Generation’s Bensoul and Nviiri the Storyteller.

Nairobi which is hailed as a dancehall capital in Africa has seen an increase of Jamaican artists coming to perform with the most recent being the king of lovers rock Tarrus Riley, Morgan Heritage, Alaine, Richie Spice, and Jah Cure just to name a few.
